UAE growth Dubai, 7 Dec, 05 (WAM) - Emaar Properties PJSC, the world'slargest property developer by market capitalization, has appointedAhmad Thani Al Matrooshi as its Managing Director for the UnitedArab Emirates operation.

Matrooshi brings to Emaar a wealth of experience from differentorganizations. His most recent posting as Chief Executive Officerof the government-run Dubai Development Board (DDB) for almosta decade, provided a rich experience in property and real estatedevelopment, according to a press release.

"As a longstanding business leader in the community, Ahmad AlMatrooshi is the right man to lead Emaar's growth in the UAE.

His experience, especially in the area of property and realestate development, will bring in real value to the company,"said Emaar Chairman, Mohamed Ali Alabbar.

Matrooshi says his key priorities will be to focus on the Emaarcustomer. In particular he is looking at speeding up responsetime by offering more online services which in turn enhance communication.

Matrooshi also holds memberships to a number of important organizationsincluding the non-profit Dubai Property Group (DPG). As Founderand Chairman of DPG, he is dedicated to an ongoing forum thatensures a code of ethics for real estate practices and procedures.

This significant appointment is part of a recently launchedinitiative called "Afaq," meaning 'horizon' in Arabic. The initiativewill channel UAE National talent into key positions throughoutEmaar, in both the UAE, and abroad.
