MUSCAT -- Electroman LLC and TYCO Fire and Integrated Solutions organised a seminar focusing on the latest fire and gas detection standards and digital addressable fire detection systems at Muscat Holiday Inn recently. During the seminar, which was attended by more than 250 delegates from different authorities including PDO, ministries, Oman Refinery, Sohar and Salalah Ports, Royal Court, Civil Defence, DGPM, Oman Aviation, Sheraton Hotels, InterContinental Hotels along with all the major consultants and contractors, the latest systems and technologies were introduced by TYCO, SCOTT UK and VESDA officials.
The seminar was an interactive session and gave an excellent overview of information to all the delegates on the latest fire protection and gas detection standards for the growing construction industry as well as the oil and gas domains in Oman. Electroman LLC has recently been awarded the contracts for design, supply and installation of the largest fire detection system in the Middle East and second largest in the whole world with 82 networked nodes and 2 graphic command centres in Salalah and the contract for design supply and installation of the largest IT data centre at Knowledge Oasis Muscat.
Electroman LLC also has the largest fire alarm maintenance contracts in Oman with the leading telecom service provider for their sites all over Oman, another large maintenance contract with PDO for the complete Mina al Fahal fire alarm infrastructure. The company has also recently signed the Fire Protection maintenance contract with Shell Oman.
The Ministry of Defence sent delegations to the seminar from the Royal Navy, Royal Air force, MODES and the Royal Army. Electroman LLC had installed complete fire protection systems for the critical and sensitive infrastructures of all government organisations and the Muscat Inter-national Airport.
