Cairo –  President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has inaugurated several Sinai Peninsula development projects on Tuesday.

These projects include the St. Catherine Hospital and Rowaysat Medical Centre, according to state-run TV.

The president also witnessed the inauguration of the Martyr Ahmed Hamdy Tunnel II in the Suez Governorate.

Egypt is also set to inaugurate the Bahr El-Baqr seawater desalination plant with a capacity of 5.6 million cubic metres per day within the coming few days, El-Sisi revealed.

He added that the plant will increase the cultivated area by 500,000 feddans.
