CAIRO (Zawya Dow Jones)--Egypt's Torah Cement Portland said Sunday a fire had erupted in one of its production lines.

The company said production line number eight was under maintenance and hadn't been working for a period of time before the fire erupted, according to a statement on the Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchanges' Web site.

Production is at its full capacity and hasn't been affected by the fire, Torah Cement said.

Torah Cement is a subsidiary of Suez Cement company, which in turn is majority owned by Italy's Italcementi.
