RIYADH — The second semester vacation for teachers and students of all stages in Saudi Arabia has started at the end of Thursday's working day.

The students will return to their classrooms and begin the third semester of the current year, 1444 AH - 2023 AD, on the 20th of Shaban (March 12).

They will witness the Eid Al-Fitr holiday on the 22nd of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, corresponding to April 13, then they will return again on the 7th of Shawwal (April 27) .

It is noteworthy that the students will have one long holiday on Sunday and Monday, 8-9 of Dhul Qaada (May 28-29). While the current academic year will be completed by the end of Thursday's working hours, corresponding to the 4th of Dhu Al-Hijjah (June 22).

The Ministry of Education has stressed the importance of schools completing all the procedures correcting tests, revision and monitoring in the Noor electronic system on a daily basis, in preparation for announcing the results on time.

About 6 million students have attended the final exams of the second semester of 1444 AH, in all school stages, from the 3rd grade in primary school to the 3rd grade of secondary school.

The written exams for the final of the second semester started on Sunday, Feb. 26, and lasted for five days in public education schools for boys and girls in the regions and governorates across Saudi Arabia.
