The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has warned all motorists that they shouldn't place their Salik tags at inappropriate locations in their cars, as this could interfere with the deduction of tolls, leading to violations.

The authority added that a motorist must purchase a tag for each vehicle he owns, explaining that fines will be issued for any vehicle that passes through Salik gates without a tag.

The authority has also sent messages to all customers explaining that the tag should be placed on the windshield of the vehicle.
