Dubai, Dec. 14th, 2007(WAM)--Dubai Charity Organisation is set to distribute 5,000 sacrificial animals worth AED1.35 million, during Eid Al Adha, of which 1,000 will be distributed in the country, while the rest will be distributed abroad.

Ahmed Mismar, secretary general of the organisation said that "since inception, the organisation has been adopting humanitarian and charity programmes to serve poor and limited-income people".

He added that the sacrificial animals' project is carried out every year as philanthropists donate in cash and authorise the organisation to buy animals and distribute them to the needy, indicating that 1,000 sacrificial animals worth Dhs350, 000 (each per AED350), will be distributed in the UAE.

Mismar said that needy people from Somalia, Yemen, Uganda, Indonesia, Thailand, Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali, Senegal, Gambia, Togo, Benin and Nigeria will benefit from the sacrificial animals.

He added that 6,000 pieces of clothes would be distributed to children and women inside the country, while 30,000 pieces of clothes would be distributed abroad.
