DOHA: The Civil Aviation Authority has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Transportation in Iraq to resume flights between the two countries.

Direct flights from Doha to Baghdad have been resumed after a break of 20 years, an Arabic daily quoted a spokesman of the Iraqi Ministry as saying.

There will be one flight weekly, the official said, adding that the service would help strengthen trade relations between the two countries.
