Umm Al Quwain, January 7th, 2007 (WAM)- Sheikh Abdullah bin RashidAl Mualla, Deputy Ruler of Umm al-Qaiwain recently toured the PresentationCentre of the AED 12 billion (US$3.3 billion) Umm Al Quwain Marina projectbeing developed by Emaar Middle East (EME).

The presentation centre is scheduled to open soon and will serveas the one-stop sales hub for the project, which will feature about 8,000homes, retail and recreational facilities, resorts, sports and yacht clubs,boutique hotels and community centres. The centre is located near thehighway, within the project site, and features true-to-type displays ofthe different elements of Umm Al Quwain Marina.

Sheikh Abdullah was briefed by the senior level management teamof EME about the various components of the 2,000-acre project, which isexpected to further strengthen the emirate's economy by boosting the tourismand real estate sectors and generating employment opportunities.

"The property sector reforms introduced by Member of the SupremeCouncil and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain His Highness Sheikh Rashid Bin AhmadAl Mualla have created a favourable economic climate for projects suchas Umm Al Quwain Marina," said Mr. Ahmad Al Matrooshi, UAE Managing Director,Emaar Properties and Member of the Board of Directors of Emaar MiddleEast. "We thank the leaders of Umm Al Quwain for their support to theUmm Al Quwain Marina, which will introduce a new residential lifestyleand hospitality profile to the emirate." Umm Al Quwain Marina will have a total navigable water area ofabout 450 acres. Emaar conducted extensive environment studies to minimisethe impact of project development on the surrounding environment.

Umm Al Quwain Marina is a key development of Emaar outside Dubai.
