MUSCAT -- Visiting Junichi Sato, Managing Director of Daikin Industries Ltd, Japan Global Operations Division and manufacturers of world's top brands of air-conditioners said that Oman is a fast growing market for Daikin's products in a press conference held at Sheraton Oman Hotel yesterday. The conference, attended by Tsubouchi Toshitaka, General Manager of Daikin Europe NV, Akihiro Okumara, Sales Planning Manager, Daikin Europe NV Middle East and Varghese Samuel, Deputy General Manager AC division, Muscat Electronics LLC (ME) and Daikin distributors in Oman, highlighted the achievements and services of the company as well as its operations in different parts of the world.
Sato said that Daikin Industries, established in Japan more than 80 years ago, is the pioneer in the AC industry. "Daikin stands tall at first position in Japan and 2nd in the world. It is the inventor of VRV system which is the most energy efficient AC system for middle to large scale buildings and houses," he said. He also said that with the acquisition of OYL/Maquay, Daikin is becoming the top global AC manufacturer in both name and reality. "Daikin is mainly into AC and refrigerant chemicals and manufactures all types of AC and compressors whose factories spread all over the world maintaining highest standards of quality and reliability," he said.
Sato also congratulated Varghese Samuel of ME who received an Award for high performance of sales of VRV systems in Middle East during the fiscal year 2005-2006. "I am happy to note that Muscat Electronics (ME) provides exceptionally good customer care including design, execution and service, which enabled them to excel in their sales performance," he said. ME has so far commissioned the largest number of Daikin's prestigious Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) AC system in the Middle East.
Eager to offer after sales service, Tsubouchi revealed that Daikin has opened a new hub in the UAE to give strong support for Middle East countries. "The UAE hub in Jebel Ali will act as the centre for all other Daikin factories in the world. This will lead to availability of spare parts quickly and easily," he said. In his comments, Varghese Samuel, said: "We are proud to associate with Daikin. We have completed 19 prestigious VRV projects amounting to approximately 4,000 tonnes during the last 4 years. All Daikin VRV systems commissioned by Muscat Electronics crossed several summers without a single case of breakdown."
"Efficient customer care is our strength. We are at the customer's premises within 24 hours of a call. The service is available to all customers who ask for it," he said.
