DUBAI - Cosmoplast, a fully owned subsidiary of Interplast - part of Harwal Group of Companies -announced plans to set up a pre-insulated pipe systems production plant at Dubai Industrial Park.
The Sharjah-based Cosmoplast, a leading manufacturer of building products, said it has completed all formalities for the establishment of the modern plant on a 220,000 square feet site.
The new facility, expected to go on stream by the third quarter next year, comes close on the heels of Cosmoplast's newly opened production plant in Abu Dhabi. The DIP facility is in line with Cosmoplast's long-term strategy of servicing the region's infrastructure and building products needs by setting up custom-designed production facilities in key locations all over the Gulf.
A company statement said the production facility has been designed to incorporate its advanced pre-insulated pipe systems manufacturing unit. This unit has been specifically designed to match and meet the needs of major district cooling schemes planned in the UAE.
Parallel with the company's plants in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, the Dubai facility, will produce conventional and re-inforced UPVC and HDPE speciality pipes, and UPVC manholes. "To meet expanding market requirements and increase total production capability, it is also planned that Cosmoplast will be joined on an adjacent site within the investment park by other companies of the Harwal Group that specialise in the manufacture of building industry products, the statement said.
