Iraqi Communist Party said on Monday that it is considering an idea to ally with Kurdistan Democratic Party to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections .

Parliamentary elections will be held in 30 of next April after being identified by a presidential decree issued by the presidency last month.

The political blocs began preparations for early parliamentary elections by the announcement of lists and new blocs.

The leader of the Iraqi Communist Party, Raid Fahmi told "Shafaq News " , that " the next election will witness the participation of some of the Democratic forces, which includes two branches; the Communist Party by its two branches with Umma Party and the Democratic Labor Party as well as People's Party and parties of other forces were involved in the previous election.

"We are considering to ally with the Kurdish bloc in the upcoming parliamentary elections," he added.

The Iraqi Communist Party has strong relationships with old Kurdish parties especially Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

On the fortunes of his party in the upcoming elections, Fahmi said, "the list is likely to witness a remarkable presence in the provinces of southern Iraq, including Basra , Dhi Qar, Samawah and Baghdad, as well as witnessed in previous elections ."

Kurdistan Democratic Party got in the previous local elections, several seats in different Iraqi provinces , including the capital Baghdad .

The forces and political blocs are witnessing changes between the ranks of alliances and the withdrawal of some of its members, such as election of the Iraqi parliament.

It is expected for the forthcoming elections to produce a new map of the alliances of political blocs .
