MUSCAT -- In view of a series of major upcoming national events in the Sultanate, commercial centres have embarked on stocking varieties of official Omani regalia in celebration of diverse national occasions anticipated towards the year's end.

Such series of national celebrations include the observation of the current sports activities of His Majesty's Cup Football Championship, which is presently in its pre-quarter final stages.

Other anticipated celebrations include the observation of the first Omani Women's Day on October 17, the 40th National Day Celebrations on November 18 and in support of the National Football Team in the forthcoming 20th Gulf Cup Competition that will be held in Yemen towards the last week of November.

Among such ceremonial items embedded in official colours of the Sultanate's national flag of red, green and white include varieties of objects appropriate for both genders of the community.

They include objects showcasing portraits of His Majesty the Sultan ranging in sizes, texture and materials like badges, hair bands and clips, ribbons, balloons, cap stickers, the Omani flag and other decorative items made of plastic and paper works.

Interestingly, the regalia also features attractive and appealing slogans in acknowledgement of the country's head of state -- an indication of the loyalty and devotion to His Majesty.

Such slogans include mottos like Long Live Builder of Oman's Sovereignty and I Love Oman and God Bless Our Beloved Sultan among many others.

On an average, the cost of the items range between 200 baisas and RO 2.500 and above depending on demand and stock availability, say officials of prominent book stores and commercial centres in the city.
