SULAIMANIYA/ Aswat al-Iraq: MP Bakhtiar Shawees of the Kurdish National Union Party, headed by ex-president Jalal Talabani, disclosed that the Kurdish blocs in the Iraqi parliament are trying to end the Peshmarga question through urging entrusted Premier Haidar al-Ibadi to consider it within the Iraqi central defence organization, in regard training and armaments.

He pointed out that the Peshmarga forces was and is one of the main disputed questions with the central government, "though these forces have their legitimacy via the Iraq constitution, but the previous government did not finalize it".

MP Shawees added that the Peshmarga made many sacrifices during the previous regime, and had a greater role in establishing democratic Iraq after 2003 event.

"Now, Peshmarga forces are fighting against Da'ish organization, not only defending the Kurds but the Iraqis as a whole", he confirmed.
