SHARJAH, 1st June, 2015 (WAM) -- Bee?ah, the Sharjah Environment Company, the Middle East?s leading award-winning fully integrated environment and waste management company, signed a contract agreement with Sharjah Charity International (SCI), a non-governmental organisation with core objectives that include sponsorship of less fortunate people through financial, moral and cultural support.

The agreement facilitates the collection and distribution of used clothes, via dedicated collection points across the city, to be distributed to individuals in need.

The agreement signing took place at Bee?ah?s head office in Sharjah. This agreement is yet another step within Bee?ah?s ongoing commitment to community development and a key part of the environment company?s vision towards creating a more sustainable future and giving back to the community.

Bee'ah's role in this agreement is to put forth the logistics needed, including the distribution of collection points across the city, gathering donated materials from the public, supplying transportation for the collected goods, and providing state-of-the-art facilities to process and deliver goods to those in need.

Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO of Bee?ah spoke of the new agreement by saying "Bee'ah is passionate about its CSR initiatives and takes these matters deeply to heart." He added, "We strive to spread public awareness regarding issues of the greatest importance to the future of the coming generations, such as our environment. Our focus on recycling has for many years been central in this mission and we are proud to announce that today we have extended the scope of our recycling commitment, from household waste and construction materials, to clothes and textiles which will be donated as part of our charitable giving." He continued, " The role of Bee'ah as a responsible community member and a leader of development in Sharjah will positively and powerfully affect the lives of many people who need support and assistance".

For his part, Abdullah Mubarak Al Dukhan, the Secretary General of Sharjah Charity International, thanked Bee?ah for its efforts in opening channels of cooperation between the two entities, and said, "This MOU that we signed today with Bee?ah, is a true manifestation of the fruitful cooperation between the country?s national entities" According to the agreement, Bee?ah will be given the authority to collect, distribute, and recycle used clothes from at least 1400 used clothes? bins, allocated across the emirate of Sharjah, in schools and shopping centres, on behalf of Sharjah Charity international, leading to a great benefit to the society." The signing ceremony was attended by Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO of Bee?ah, Fahed Shehail, Chief Operating Officer in Bee?ah, Abdullah Mubarak Al-Dukhan, the Secretary General of the Sharjah Charity International, along with several key officials representing both entities.
