BAGHDAD - PM of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nachirvan Barzani said on Wednesday that today's elections in Iraq and the Kurdistan region are of the utmost importance, calling on citizens to go to the polls to elect their representatives.
Barzani added, after casting his vote in the House of Representatives election and the elections of provinces council of the region in a polling station in the area of Ain Kawa in Erbil, according to a statement by the Kurdistan Regional Government that these elections are important for Iraq in general and Kurdistan Region in particular, expressing hope that the process is carried out quietly so that citizens can participate, and go to the polls and exercise their democratic right to elect their representatives in the Iraqi parliament and provincial councils in the region , but no doubt that this process will be a great success for the democratic process in the whole of Iraq .
He continued that there is no doubt that this election will make a change in the political map of the current Iraq in general, and we have much of what we have to say , but up to the completion of the elections, we cannot make any predictions in anything, adding that the process of forming a new government in Iraq after the elections will be difficult.
