Arbil - Head of Kurdistan Region, Massoud Barzani discussed on Tuesday with Vice President Osama Nujaifi developments in the political process in Iraq and the threat of terrorists and the security situation in the region.

A statement by the presidency of the region said that Barzani received Nujaifi and his accompanying delegation in the presence of the Minister of Interior of the Region Kareem Chenkali and Erbil Governor Nawzad Hadi.

It added that the two sides discussed the most important obstacles facing the new political process in Iraq, and how to remove these obstacles away from this process.

The meeting, according to the statement, discussed the reality of the fighting fronts and confronting the IS and how to work in order to eliminate the terrorists and expel them from the region.
