President of Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani condemned on Tuesday, engaging the Iraqi army in "internal differences", clearly referring to Haweeja events.

The Iraqi army stormed the Sit -in in Haweeja district in Kirkuk province today, after government forces said that the protesters refused to hand over the wanted men who killed an Iraqi soldier last Friday.

Violent clashed took place today between army forces and protester gunmen that led to the death and injury of dozens on both sides.

Barzani said in a statement received by "Shafaq News" that "engaging army in resolving internal differences are a constitutional violation, referring to Haweeja.

Haweeja district is located southwest Kirkuk city, a distance of 50 km; it is a tribal region area to a large extent.

Barzani condemned the Iraqi army attacks on demonstrators in Haweeja, and said, "We condemn these events that took place today in Haweeja in which army has been used and resulted in a large number of dead and wounded people".

Jaffar Mustafa, Minister of Peshmerga and Karim Sinjari, interior minister of Kurdistan Regional Government arrived to Kirkuk after Haweeja events to determine the events.
