DOHA: To mark its 5th Anniversary Barwa Real Estate on Tuesday announced that it will partner with Injaz Qatar from this year. Through this partnership, Barwa will be sponsoring Injaz programmes and Barwa staff will join a growing body of volunteers who teach Injaz courses to secondary school and university students.
Injaz provides a bridge between employers and young people to encourage them to take the initiative and become entrepreneurs. The Injaz courses link students with successful role models from the private sector so that professionals in companies like Barwa are given an opportunity to help the community by developing trainees' potential business skills.
Yousif R Al Khater, Barwa Group CEO, said: "Barwa's sponsorship of Injaz reflects its strong commitment to Qatar's National Vision 2030 that puts human capital and its development through education at the heart of everything that the country is trying to achieve. This partnership also adds a great value to Barwa's various corporate social responsibility initiatives and programmes. By encouraging more Qataris into the private sector through Injaz's courses on financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness, Barwa will help students to develop the skills to become the leaders of tomorrow."
Barwa's sponsorship of Injaz offers financial support and the chance for corporate volunteers from Barwa and its subsidiaries to get involved.
