MUSCAT -- Bank Sohar has launched its 'Seven Wonders of The World' Visa Card Summer Promotion, enabling lucky customers to take off to destinations of their choice anywhere in the world. The promotion covers all the customers of Bank Sohar using their Visa cards. All that customers need to do is to use their card to pay for purchases with their Visa credit, debit or prepaid card or withdraw cash from ATMs (This offer excludes local cash withdrawal transactions from Visa Debit Electron cards at Oman Switch and GCC Net ATMs).
Every spend of RO 10 gives the customer a chance to enter a daily prize draw. Each week, five customers will win airline tickets to a destination of the winner's choice for a value up to RO 300, (excluding taxes and service charges). Every spend of RO 50 on Bank Sohar's credit, debit, or prepaid cards will similarly give customers a chance to enter a Mega Prize Draw for a trip to visit the 'Seven Wonders of the World.' Three winners will receive these mega prizes for a memorable tour of the world's most spectacular locations.
The promotion will be communicated to customers through SMS channels, press, advertisements, in-branch communications and direct mails "This Visa card promotion has been specially developed to bring joy to the customer. It will run through June, and the whole of July and August and will include every one of our customers who has a Visa Card," said Khalfan Rashid al Tal'ey, DGM Retail -- Bank Sohar, at the launch. "There will be one lucky winner every day. A total of 55 winners will travel to destinations of their choice on business, home visits or leisure. At the close of the promotion, there will be three Mega Prize winners who will tour the 'Seven Wonders of the World.' The Mega Prize Draw will be held in September 2009.
Every customer stands to benefit from this promotion -- those who spend small and those who spend big as well. It goes without saying that the more they use their card, the greater are their chances of winning." The cards covered by this promotion are the three variants of Bank Sohar's Visa Credit Cards -- Classic, Gold and Platinum, the Bank Sohar Visa Debit Electron Card and the Bank Sohar Visa Prepaid card. The Classic, Gold and Platinum Credit cards are premium credit cards, each packed with different benefits and privileges.
The Classic Credit Card is available to the customer free-for-life and comes with an insurance cover. The Platinum Credit Card comes with free membership for the first two years of card ownership, the most comprehensive insurance cover in the market and both Priority Pass and AAA membership. The Gold Credit Card comes with free membership for the first two years of card ownership, specific Priority Pass facilities, AAA membership and insurance cover.
All these card benefits are available for the main card holder and also for two supplementary cards. All three variants also come with an introductory interest rate of 12 per cent for the first year of card membership. The Bank Sohar Visa Debit Electron Card is a debit card linked to an identified customer account from which debits are made each time the card is used.
The Bank Sohar Prepaid card is a card available on demand from the Bank with a customer-defined spending limit and excellent safety and security. All of these cards may be used for free-of-charge cash withdrawals at over 500 ATMs in Oman, and at more than one million ATMs worldwide. All of these cards are also accepted at over 29 million point-of-sale locations in Oman and all over the world for making payments.
