Muscat: Students of Bangladesh School Muscat made their Alma mater proud by performing exceedingly well in the Edexcel Examinations.
Grades of 63 A* and 125 A were secured in the IGCSE O Level Examinations for which 95 students appeared. In the GCE and IAL, A level and AS level examinations, 4 A* and 22 A grades were obtained in the aggregate.
Ninety-three students appeared for GCE and 94 appeared for IAL Examinations, respectively.
In the A level Examinations, Usamah Zaman, who bagged 4 A* grades, was the school topper.
Commenting on his achievement, Usamah said, "I express my deep gratitude to my teachers who guided me over the years, right from my form classes till my A levels. I humbly acknowledge the support by my parents and the management of the school without which this wouldn't have been possible."
Usamah scored full marks in 5 units in the GCE Examinations, and in the IAL Examinations he scored full marks in 3 units. His proud parents said, "Our son's remarkable achievement will be an encouragement for other students and we are proud to see him as a trail blazer who has set the standard for others to achieve."
In the AS level Examinations Fabiha Buhiyan secured 4 A grades. Naima Jahan, who scored full marks in U2 Economics, needs special mention in this category.
In the IGCSE O Levels, Angelina Monica D'Costa outperformed her peers by clinching 5 A* and 1 A grades.
"This achievement leaves me more focused and humbled. I thank my parents and all my teachers for their guidance and support," said Angelina.
Principal Lt Col Mahmud Ul Alam, while lauding the hard work of students said," I congratulate my students and appreciate their hard work. It is the result of collaborative effort.
"The thoughtful and meaningful guidance given by the faculty members and the support and cooperation extended by parents and BoD members culminated in these brilliant results."
