AMMAN (Petra) -- Prime Minster Marouf Bakhit on Sunday inaugurated the Amman Comprehensive Health Centre financed by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).  In 2004, KOICA offered a $4.4 million grant to build and equip three comprehensive health centres in Amman, Mafraq and Ramtha.

Health Minster Saad Kharabsheh said the new facility will reduce pressure on Al Bashir Hospital as well as Prince Hamzah Hospital. Korean Ambassador to Jordan Yoen-Sung Shin highlighted his country's efforts to further its cooperation with Jordan, especially in the field of medical services. At the end of the opening ceremony, attended by several Jordanian and Korean officials, Bakhit presented KOICA with a token of gratitude.
