MUSCAT: Bahwan CyberTek, a leading information technology products and services company in the Sultanate, will sign an agreement with Brunei Darussalam's Telekom Brunei Berhand, to set up a joint venture firm on Saturday.

Telekom Brunei Berhad is the leading telecom provider of Brunei with a history of serving customers in Brunei for over five decades, said a press release from Bahwan CyberTek.

The new company, which will be based in Brunei Darussalam, will implement and manage a state-of-the-art hosted contact centre, implement software applications for the telecommunication and government verticals.

The joint entity will leverage on the state-of-the-art Cuecent technologies developed by Bahwan Cybertek and the deep domain expertise of Telbru to jointly create and market products for the telecommunication and government vertical.

Being first of its kind in the local market to address contact centre business would not only target local business but would also address the needs of the BIMP -EAGA region (Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines).

The business model has been developed in such a manner so as to provide maximum employment and benefit to the local citizens by way of specialised training on latest technology provided by Bahwan CyberTek.
