BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--State-run Bahrain Petroleum Co., or Bapco, plans to set up a carbon dioxide liquefaction plant in partnership with the private sector close to the site of the country's only oil refinery, Manama-based Al Wasat reports Thursday, citing Faisal Al Mahrous, the company's chief executive.

In related news, Mahrous told the paper that Bapco is also in talks with international companies to help it reduce the sulfur content of a number of its petroleum products that include, among others, diesel, kerosene and gasoline.
