The Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr Hassan Abdullah Fakhro yesterday received the newly-appointed board of directors of Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) at his offices and discussed with them issues of common interest.
Dr Fakhro congratulated the new board appointed by the Crown Prince and the Chairman of the EDB, Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and assured that the ministry would offer full co-operation and assistance in areas.
The Alba team was led by the company's acting chief executive Ahmed Al Nuaimi and members of the board were Dr Esam Fakhro, Dr Nader Khalil Almoayyed, Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheiji, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Fawzi Ahmed Kanoo, Osama Mohammed Al Areez and Defaid Main.
The Alba board members said that they would put all possible effort for the growth and development of Alba, one of the largest aluminium smelters in the world.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr Hassan Abdullah Fakhro yesterday received the member of the Nuremberg Company board, Harita Khrusman, and discussed with her the possibilities of enhancing the co-operation for hosting the exhibitions and conferences in the Kingdom. Present were Abdulrahim Al Saeedy Undersecretary Ministry of Industry and Commerce and head of development services and Mohammed Zarar Shaer acting chief executive of Bahrain Exhibition Bureau.
