AL KHOBAR - Al Rushaid Construction Company Ltd. (ARCC) announced Sunday that it has passed its second ISO 9001 Surveillance Audit which TUV Nord of Germany conducted through its representative Shihab Ismael.  Maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation is confirmed through a program of annual surveillance visits and a three yearly recertification audit.

ISO 9001:2008 is a globally recognized quality management system standard issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) designed to enable organizations to ensure they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders, while complying with statutory and regulatory requirements.  Passing this surveillance confirms that ARCC's quality management system continues to be in complete compliance with ISO standards following the rigorous audit.

ARCC was founded in 1993 through a joint venture agreement between Al Rushaid Petroleum Investment Company (ARPIC) and EEI Corporation of the Philippines.  ARPIC is a prominent and leading KSA owned company operating nationally and internationally principally involved in manufacturing, construction, engineering, trading, commercial real estate and technology.

Its joint venture partner, EEI Corporation, is a leading construction company in the Philippines with broadest range of construction and engineering services, and has expertise in the construction of large-scale heavy and light industrial projects and infrastructure projects worldwide.

From its humble beginnings in 1993, ARCC has grown and transformed to becoming one of the industry's major player in the Kingdom. Many milestones where achieved in its 20 years of operations in the area of safety and quality workmanship.

Over the past 20 years, the company has built several industrial facilities for various industries such as oil and gas, power, petrochemical and other manufacturing facilities.

It has completed several major projects in the Kingdom, and these are the following:  Shoaiba Power Plant; 4 x 600 MW Ghazlan II Power Plant; Sharq 3rd Expansion Ethylene Plant; National Chevron Philips North Plot; Aramco's Southern Area Oil Operation Flare System; SHUQAIQ II Independent Water Steam Power Plant; and shutdown and turnaround projects for Tasness, Al Bayroni, Qurrayah, the Saudi Aramco Manifa Central Processing Facilities and SASREF. At present the company is heavily involved in the completion of two of its major projects in the Western region, SAMREF's Clean Fuels and Rabigh II Power Plant.

ARCC has also built its own Pipe Spool Fabrication Shop to complement its construction capabilities. The fabrication shop in Jubail has a total area of 150,000 square meters and capable of producing 3,000 diameter inches of pipe spools per day.

The fabrication shop is authorized to use ASME certification for 3 stamps, Boiler Assembly 'A', Pressure Piping 'PP', Power Boiler 'S' and NB Stamp for Repair and Alteration 'R' to construct and certify components according to ASME codes.
