KUWAIT, Nov 29 (KUNA) -- Al-Arabi club barely won Saturday over their rivals Yarmouk 29-28 within the fifth week of the national handball league championship.

The match began strong with Al-Arabi leading 5-2 in the first 10 minutes and the team in green continued this performance ending the first half by 16-12.

Al-Arabi continued their dominance in the first period of the second half, leading 24-21 but the final minutes of the second half saw Yarmouk pushing forward bringing the score to 26 for each team.

The dying minutes of the match was very tense but Al-Arabi managed to win the match.

Al-Arabi and Sulaibikhat are heading the national league table in first and second place respectively.

Sulaibikhat's Friday win over Al-Shabab, required Al-Arabi to win today to preserve their lead.
