MUSCAT -- Ramanujan Computing Centre (RCC) located in India's Anna University (AU), Chennai yesterday signed memorandum of understanding with Bahwan CyberTek Private Limited (BCT) to collaborate on a number of technology-focused research and development activities that will couple strong academia, research with powerful technology in enterprise business solution.
BCT is one of the fastest growing IT software products and services companies in India and overseas.
The company's offerings cut across product development, strategy and process consulting, enterprise applications, infrastructure management and managed services. It's brand CUECENT addresses the needs of verticals such as BFSI, government, energy and utilities and SCM and logistics. BCT has expertise in technologies such as BPM, SOA, Middleware Integration, ERP, MES and Process Control.
RCC and BCT have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that outlines plans for co-operation on a variety of areas, including training, project consultancy and research. The MoU also highlights plans for BCT to set up a Centre of Excellence (CoE) with BCT's Cuecent BPMS Software Suite (Campus License), Servers and Workstations at Anna University.
Prof P Mannar Jawahar, Vice-Chancellor -- Anna University, said, "The CoE to be established at RCC will be developed as a world-class, shared-use educational and R&D facility serving the student and industry community. BCT will also provide projects /consultancy work to the faculty of the Anna University". He also added, "This new collaboration will undoubtedly result in new research projects and endeavours with tremendous potential for innovation and far-reaching benefit. The technologies created by the partnership of RCC-AU and BCT not only will enable and enhance further enterprise solution development and research, it will positively impact the knowledge of students of Anna University to come".
Hind Suhail Bahwan, Chairperson, Bahwan CyberTek Group, said "An important element of our journey is to continually innovate while contributing to the society. We believe that the above initiative will serve both the purposes."
