The formal agreement between the two companies signals that Ali Moosa and Sons will begin construction of 17 apartment buildings in the Zen Gardens.

Discovery Gardens is Nakheel's latest residential concept and is situated at a new interchange on Shaikh Zayed Road, between interchanges five and six. The 2.4 million square metre development is a pre-designed complex comprising of six themed communities styled in a variety of garden experiences.
The 17 architecturally distinct complexes in the Zen Gardens will feature studio and one bedroom apartments catering to professionals employed at Jebel Ali, Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City free zones. They will be designed in modern and contemporary styles, said Fahd Moosa, a senior spokesperson at Ali Moosa.
There will be many options for residents, be it the style of building, size of the apartment or the choice of view.
"This is slated as a very prestigious modern residential complex, and much care will be taken to ensure that residents can enjoy a tranquil and harmonious lifestyle while being located just minutes away from major leisure and shopping avenues," Moosa said.
The 17 buildings will be designed as two distinct apartment blocks. The first type will offer split-level exterior effect with a minimum of four floors and a maximum of five floors, and the second only six floors.
Between the two building types, the Zen Gardens will feature 529 studios and 692 one-bedroom apartments, each featuring premium ceramic interiors and with access to more than eight swimming pools in the vicinity.
Residents staying at the complex will also have close proximity to Discovery Central Park, the new relaxation centre of Discovery Gardens and the Gardens Shopping Mall.
Bin Sulayem said that the team looked forward to commencing work on the project immediately.
"Ali Moosa and Sons will complete the building construction by mid 2006, with the entire project also scheduled for completion in end-2006."
He added that various tenders were being reviewed at the present for 146 buildings and further tender considerations would be made for the final 128 buildings in Discovery Gardens within the next three months.
