The "Group of 8" world leaders will conclude their 3-day summit in L'Aquila, Italy on Friday (July 10th) after meeting with African leaders to discuss food and farming issues facing the continent. African Union New Partnership for Africa Development (Nepad) members will also address strengthening North-South relations, the global financial crisis and African peace and security. G-8 nations are expected to commit $15 billion dollars over the next three years to help boost food security and agricultural production, AP reported.

Algeria will be represented at the meeting by Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia. Libyan leader and current AU chairman Moamer Kadhafi will also attend.
