ABU DHABI, 30 Oct, 04 (WAM) - Dr Abdullah bin Ali Baseer, Secretary-Generalof the International Authority for Quran Memorisation of the Muslim WorldLeague in Makkah, will lead the worshippers in Dubai mosques in the periodfrom Ramadan 15 to 21, according to Ibrahim Bu Melha, Vice-Chairman ofDubai Justice Department, Dubai Attorney General and Chairman of DIHQA.
He said Dr Abdullah is the Imam and preacher of Al Shuaibi Mosque inJeddah and he was hosted by DIHQA to lead the worshippers in Taraweehprayers as a means of establishing bridges between the award and the generalpublic, according to a report in +Khaleej Times.+ Today, Dr Abdullah will be at the Grand Jumeirah Mosque while on Ramadan17,18,19, 20 and 21 he will perform at the Rashidiyah Mosque located onthe Dubai International Airport Road.
'This is the beginning, we are hoping to host the Imams of the HaramSharif in Mecca to lead the prayers in the days to come,' Bu Melha said.
