JEDDAH: The new board of directors of the National Commercial Bank (NCB) announced at its first meeting yesterday the appointment of Mansour Saleh Al-Miman as its chairman.

He succeeds Abdullah Salem Bahamdan who headed the bank successively for the past four years before he announced his unwillingness to continue.

Al-Mimam holds a masters degree in business administration from the US-based Dales University. He earlier occupied a some key positions at the Ministry of Finance and other government bodies. He is highly experienced in the management of financial institutions and one of his former positions was secretary general of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Fund for 14 years

He was undersecretary for budget and organizational affairs for 5 years.

The new board of directors of the national commercial bank includes Motlaq Al-Motlaq, Ibrahim Al-Romaih, Abdul Kareem Abu Al-Nasr, Youseef Al-Mimani, Saad Al-Rowataa, Abdul Aziz Alzaid, representative of social insurance, Abdulrahman Al-Mifdaa, representative of General Investment Fund, Khalid Al-Afraj, representative of the general establishment for retirement.
