KUWAIT: Al-Mazaya Holding, a leading property firm in the region, has signed an elector - mechanical contract at a value of KD1.995 million with Al Mulla Group for the supply, installation and maintenance of Electro Mechanical parts and equipment in its "7 Zones" project that will be located in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, Kuwait, on a total area of 22.5 thousand square meters.
The signing ceremony was attended by Eng Khalid Esbaitah, Al-Mazaya's Managing Director and CEO, Eng Abdullah Al-Subaih and Eng. Nidal Yaeesh from Al-Mazaya, Khalid Al-Markhi, Eng Raj Saithy from Al-Mulla Group, and Dr Adel Al-Mashri from Dar Al-Sour Technical Consultants. Al-Mulla Group will thereby undertake the electro mechanical works that include electric and communicational works in addition to water supply, sanitary sewerage, fire fighting systems and air conditioning.
Commenting on this deal Eng Khalid Esbaitah, Al-Mazaya's Managing Director and CEO said: "7 Zones will be an all-in-one construction materials city in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area. The project will include integrated zones showcasing flooring supplies, electrical appliances, furniture, hardware, glasses, paints, constructional materials and warehouses. It will be truly a miscellaneous world for an integrated home.
7 Zones" has become an attractive site for heavyweight industrial firms, importers, and exporters. It will operate through a lease system that is currently under a profound study, in order to have all the market applicable prices taken into consideration. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2008, the project is designed to be a dedicated shopping mall that does not exclude entertainment facilities creating a favorable family destination.
The project will include a spacious basement that extends beneath the full plot space, ground floor, and mezzanine. Sadeem Al Kuwait had been awarded the phase 1 contract which includes the concrete structure. Another contract was signed with Al Sabria Company to execute the (KONY) elevators and moving stairs. Al-Sour Engineering Consultants, the project consultant, will coordinate with B&A, the interiors supervisor, in order to submit comprehensive executive drawings that include all the exterior and interior architectural details. Offers have been invited from local and international companies to implement the smart building system and apply the latest technologies in the project and its amenities - such as parking, main entrances, commercial outlets and offices.
This project will pave the way for Al-Mazaya to gain a foothold in investing in showrooms, offices and commercial stores in this industrial area. Al-Mazaya aims to address this hole in the market via this project and will implement everything from excellent car parking facilities to attracting the largest number of construction materials, contracting offices, and stores under one roof," Esbaitah added.
Eng. Abdullah Al-Subaih, Assistant Project Manager at Al-Mazaya said: "The availability of such a project will provide consumers in Kuwait with more flexibility and freedom in choosing construction materials, selecting what suites them, and to develop some materials manually if possible in accordance with the European Cash and Carry scheme.
Khalid Al-Markhi of Al-Mulla Group said: "7 Zones project requires high accuracy in implementing the electro-mechanical works which include air conditioning, sanitary and electrical works that meet the highest international standards,".
Al-Mazaya is aiming to gain a global reach by means of the "7 Zones" as the company has registered the trademark as an exclusive brand for Al-Mazaya.
The first move of expansion will be fulfilled by establishing "7 Zones Company" that will operate under its umbrella with a capital of KD 10 million. Al-Mazaya is in the process of acquiring plots of land in other countries to implement the same concept. It has announced recently the purchase of a spacious plot of land in Bahrain on which to carry out another "7 Zones" project. The company is prepared to buy other lands in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Jordan to implement its revolutionary concept.
