EQUATE Petrochemical Company's Human Resources Leader Yaqoub Al-Kandari said that Kuwaitization is a strategic objective within EQUATE's overall sustainability plan in all relevant business sectors.
In conclusion of EQUATE's sponsorship of the 6th Career Fair (Careers 2009) organized by the Manpower & Government Restructuring Program (MGRP), Al-Kandari explained that EQUATE's Kuwaitization strategy revolves around attracting and retaining highly qualified and competent Kuwaitis willing to work within a challenging environment and ensuring their continuous development through various tools while focusing on workforce diversity as a critical element of continuous development.
Al-Kandari noted that during the exhibition EQUATE received over 2300 job applications for holders of bachelor and diploma degrees through electronic application forms at the company's website www.equate.com, adding that the company has a workforce consisting of over 20 nationalities as EQUATE deals with Kuwaitization, which has reached over 55%, as part of professional diversity in terms of expertise and resources.
Al-Kandari expressed heartfelt appreciation to MGRP for the support and cooperation extended to Kuwait's private sector and human resources.
On his part, MGRP's acting Secretary-General Fawzi Al-Majdali lauded EQUATE's positive role and support to Careers 2009.
Al-Majdali added that EQUATE's participation in this event for the past few years embodies its sincere desire to attract qualified Kuwaitis to ensure benefitting our country and citizens, as well as supporting Kuwait's overall sustainability efforts.
Al-Majdali expressed gratitude overall support extended by EQUATE to MGRP through sponsoring this event and several other endeavors.
