MUSCAT: Vimar SpA, Italy, one of the world's leading manufacturers of wiring accessories and automation systems, plans to develop Sultanate's of Oman's high-end market with its unique product design and reliable quality.
This was announced by Vimar officials during a product launch event organised alongside its newly appointed Oman-based partner, Al Hassan Electricals (AHE).
The event was attended by high-profile lighting designers, architects, interior designers, consultants and representatives of media.
The Al Hassan lighting team was in full attendance led by Hassan bin Ali Salman, chairman of the Al Hassan Group and Maqbool Ali Salman, managing director of the Al Hassan Group. Vimar SpA, Italy was led by Ivano Roman, Middle East regional manager and Eng. Luca Telatin, technical support.
"The projects where Vimar's products would find application are hotels, villas and upscale buildings," said Roman. "Italian modular design and reliable quality will give it an edge over the competition from other international brands. Vimar products reflect the world-famous Italian design and style combined with functionality and ease of use," he added.
Salman in his opening remarks mentioned that Al Hassan Lighting and Automation division which was set up as recently as 2007 has been able to quickly establish itself as a 'total solutions provider' in Oman in terms of lighting design, automation systems design, products supply and services to a wide range of projects from inception until successful completion.
Latest innovations
Major projects awarded in the last four years include Royal Opera House, The Wave Muscat, Asian Beach Games - Mussannah, New Psychiatric Hospital - Amerat, VVIP Lounge - Muscat International Airport, Qurum City Centre, New Digital TV Studio Complex and Central Prison among others.
Salman reiterated that Al Hassan Lighting has professionally qualified and experienced lighting engineers available to support end-customer/architect/consultant/contractor at all stages of a project.
He added that organising major events like the product launch with Vimar were part of AHE's endeavour to increase customer awareness about the latest technological and design innovations in wiring devices, lighting controls and automation.
Roman presented the 'Eikon' wiring accessories to the audience. Eikon embraces new lifestyles, appealing to our senses with every detail of its sophisticated Italian style. It can be tailor-made with five different types of precious materials and more than 100 colours or finishing to choose from to personalise the cover plates, from pastels to iridescent tones and wood grain finishes.
Vimar later uncovered its unrivaled line of 'Plana' wiring accessories. With its clean and smooth lines, Plana series represents the ultimate synthesis in Italian design to occupy space with the maximum choice of combinations.
