KUWAIT, Oct 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Livestock Transport and Trading Company (KLTT), also known as Al-Mawashi, announced Monday that it completed preparations for the upcoming Eid Al-Adha season, by importing more than 91,000 sheep to meet market demand.
KLTT has two shipments of Australian-born sheep carrying 95,000 livestock, which in total amounts to 186,000 sheep for Eid Al-Adha, according to KLTT statement.
The company affirmed that it is committed to supplying Australian sheep to curb livestock prices during this season, which is known to increase sheep prices.
The company advised consumers to slaughter livestock in licensed slaughter house, as ways of protecting public health.
KLTT is listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE), and Kuwaiti government owns 61 percent of its shares.
