Dubai Emirates Building Systems (EBS), a subsidiary of Dubai Investments Industries (DII), and a regional pioneer in the construction of high-rise steel buildings, has hired 150 new employees to meet increased manpower requirements resulting from the expansion of its UAE and overseas operations.

EBS has won a string of prestigious projects in recent months, including the Tripoli airport project in Libya, the Petrofac-Adco project in Abu Dhabi, and the CPECC crude oil pipeline project in Abu Dhabi. The new recruits will be deployed across these projects as well as in Saudi Arabia, where the company is establishing sales offices.

Rapid growth

"The recruitment programme aims to meet the needs of our rapid growth," said Samir Akra, General Manager of Emirates Building Systems.

"EBS has been going strong despite the market downturn, and has been steadily expanding its operations with new project wins in the UAE and abroad. The new recruitment will allow us to effectively meet our operational requirements and growth demands."

"EBS has built a reputation as a leading manufacturer of high-quality steel structures, and today our portfolio includes some of the most prestigious steel structure projects in the region," Akra added.

The new employees have been recruited for a variety of positions such as welders and steel fabricators.

Established in 1997, EBS currently has a production capacity over 75,000 metric tonnes per annum.
