Members of the Arab-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry affirmed the willingness of Australian enterprises to invest in North African countries, particularly in Tunisia.
During a meeting Thursday with Development, Investment and International Co-operation Minister Fadhel Abdelkefi, the investors pointed out that their visit aims to prospect the business climate and investment opportunities in Tunisia, learn about the legislative framework, the incentives offered by the Tunisian State to foreign investors and the sectors that help foster partnership and investment relations between the two countries.
Abdelkefi laid emphasis on the Public / Private Partnership (PPP) Law, the financial and tax incentives and Tunisia's specificities, notably its strategic position.
He reviewed the promising sectors that may be of interest to Australian investors, such as tourism, renewable energy, processing industries in the agricultural field, communication technologies and high value-added sectors.
The Australian delegation is composed of the Australian-Arab Bank CEO, economic enterprises and Australia's ambassador in Tunis (resident in Malta).
