inJAz Bahrain - April 25, 2012: Students competing in the finale of inJAz Bahrain's "The Company" program have recently attended a number of training sessions held in cooperation with the GPIC toastmasters team as part of an exercise aimed at improving their communication and presentation skills.
78 students representing 13 teams from 10 academic institutions which qualified to the finale of the program undertook the intensive training which took place at the GPIC Club.
The participating academic institutions are Isa Town Secondary Boys, Isa Town Secondary Girls (two teams), West Riffa Secondary Girls, Muharraq Secondary Girls, Khawla Secondary Girls (two teams), Hidd Secondary Girls, Al Marifa Secondary Girls, Jidhafs Technical Institute., Bayan Bahrain, and University of Bahrain (two teams).
Offered by GPIC for the third consecutive year, the collaboration is part of the company's continuous support to inJAz Bahrain and its social responsibility initiatives aimed at Bahrain's youth and community at large.
The training is delivered by expert mentors in the field of communication, with particular emphasis on best-practice techniques and approaches used by international professional presenters.
inJAz Bahrain's Executive Director Sheikha Hessa Bint Khalifa AlKhalifa, commented, "The students are extremely fortunate to receive this calibre of training, as presentation competency is considered a main competitive advantage by most businesses. Now in its seventh year, inJAz Bahrain earlier announced that is intensifying its school outreach for the academic year 2011/2012, with a total of 13,632 students targeted for its programs, compared to 9,200 students the year prior. The organization offers three focus pillars: Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy and Work-readiness.

As non-profit inJAz Bahrain began serving the community in 2005. It is supported by funds generously granted by foundations and area businesses. Individuals also give to the organization, and they assist with fund-raising activities throughout the year. The organization is part of Junior Achievement Worldwide that has a presence in more than 123 countries around the world.
