Manama – Zain Bahrain, a leading telecoms operator focused on innovation in customer experience, announced the appointment of telecommunications industry veteran, Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa as its new Director of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations. With more than 10 years of experience in IT, Shaikh Abdulla has held key positions covering the communications, business, finance, and legal & compliance aspects of the field.

Shaikh Abdulla comes to Zain Bahrain from University College of Bahrain where, in his role as Executive Director, Technology & Innovation, he  also developed partnerships with key stakeholders, acting as the university’s representative in dealing with regional, national and international agencies and organisations. Prior to that, he was Co-Founder, CEO and Vice President of Lightspeed Communications, a Bahrain-based telecoms company he helped launch in 2004.

Shaikh Abdulla holds an Executive MBA from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland and a BS in Computer Information Systems from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA.
