Participation at Arab Health Exhibition & Congress 2015

Dubai, UAE - January 25, 2015 - Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (HMG) and Avaya, a leading provider of solutions that enable customer and team engagement across multiple channels and devices, today announced their joint participation at the Arab Health Exhibition and Congress 2015, taking place in Dubai on January 26th to 29th. The two companies have joined efforts to launch the first mobile healthcare environment in the region designed to instantly respond to field emergency conditions, and enable medical professionals to remotely save the lives of patients in a critical condition.

HMG, Avaya and Cloud Solutions, a regional IT solutions provider and an Avaya partner in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, have built and tested a number of other mobile healthcare applications that will be on show at Arab Health, using Avaya SmartEngage, a tailored combination of Avaya and third-party solutions and services, designed to enable engagement between teams and patients, from anywhere, using any mobile, computing or wearable device.

Nasser Al Huqbani, CEO of Dr. Suleiman Habib Medical Group said that the video-enabled solutions developed for field emergency services will deliver remote diagnostic and treatment quickly and efficiently, especially in extreme emergency cases. Medical staff in ambulances will be able to have a direct communication with emergency staff based in the hospital for immediate support, and to ensure that the ICU and emergency teams are ready to ready to receive the patient as soon as he or she arrives to the hospital, ready for immediate care.

HMG will be also demonstrating a number of mobile solutions designed to deliver a seven star experience and convenience to its patients. Using self-service, video-enabled kiosks connected to the group's regional call center, patients will be able to walk into any HMG facility in the region and interact with a self-service, video-enabled kiosk, connected to the group's regional call center and services. Patients will be able to initiate and complete their transactions by video, virtual collaboration, email, social media, chat, SMS or phone, and to even switch between devices or channels while talking to the same HMG call center agent. Mobile healthcare services being demonstrated at Arab Health include self-service registration, scheduling of appointments, insurance registration and validation, printing of medical reports such as laboratory and radiology results and prescriptions. The group will be able to deliver the same and additional services via virtual, self-service healthcare branches anywhere in the future, without the need for patients to physically walk into an HMG facility, bringing healthcare services closer to patients quickly, easily and securely.
