Building a sustainable PR and Communications industry in the Middle East is the theme of this year's Middle East Public Relations Conference taking place 3 & 4 February 2013 at Zayed University's Knowledge Village Dubai campus. The conference brings together international and regional experts from both the professional and academic worlds.
Entitled 'Challenges and Opportunities in Building a Sustainable Public Relations Industry in the Middle East' the conference speakers will discuss a range of topics from educating for change, leadership in PR and sustainable business.
The event is hosted annually by Zayed University's College of Communication and Media Sciences and supported by the Middle East Public Relations Association (MEPRA) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

A keynote address on Leadership in PR will be given by Dr. Bruce K. Berger, Reese Phifer Professor of Advertising & Public Relations for the College of Communication and Information Sciences at the University of Alabama, USA. An internationally renowned authority in advertising and public relations, Dr. Berger served as the director of The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations an organisation that works to develop PR students towards more active leadership roles within the industry.
The conference will run from 11.00am-4pm on Sunday 3 and 10.00am-5pm on Monday 4 February. All members of the Middle East communications industry, from agencies to in-house communications teams and graduates, are welcome to attend.
