GE Healthcare presents broad portfolio of technologies to meet needs of Middle East cath labs at Arab Health 2012
Dubai, UAE; January 24, 2012: Visitors of the Arab Health Exhibition & Congress, taking place from January 23-26 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, can explore GE Healthcare's robust portfolio of innovations for cath labs.Based on the company's reliable, high-performance Innova IGS interventional X-ray platform, GE Healthcare's newly expanded family of products is designed to meet a wide range of needs. In addition, the company's recording systems offer new features and functionality designed to help make the lab more efficient and productive.
"Our customers from around the Middle East are diverse and have different needs, so our solutions must be equally diverse. Whether they are looking for a more affordable system that offers excellent image quality and dose efficiency or the most advanced system featured with a comprehensive set of advanced applications and uncompromised mobility, GE has a unique solution that will meet their unique needs," said Hooman Hakami, CEO, of GE Healthcare Interventional Systems.
Next Generation of Innova IGS Imaging
The Innova IGS 620 and 630 cardiovascular and interventional imaging biplane systems feature Innova CT HD, which brings 3D to the next level, a comprehensive set of advanced applications to address specific clinical needs within interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and interventional neuroradiology as well as multi-modality fusion capability using integrated registration. These enhanced capabilities enable greater clinical confidence by improving visualization and registration of complex anatomies. It also offers peace of mind through our comprehensive dose management solutions and an enhanced end user experience for optimized workflow through customized display possibilities
The Innova IGS family also leverages the power of the GE Advantage Workstation* to take image visualization and analysis to a new level of understanding and efficiency.
A Revolution in Interventional Imaging
GE Healthcare recently revealed the Discovery* IGS 730[1], a new category of interventional imaging systems. It is neither floor- nor ceiling-mounted, but enables full patient access without the need to suspend the system above the patient. It has the mobility of a C-arm with the power and image quality of a fixed system. This laser-guided, motorized mobile gantry creates an interventional environment without boundaries. It allows complete access to the patient and unlimited parking capability, while enabling sterility for a flexible and secure OR environment. The unique gantry comes with a new wide bore design, which allows for steep angles, ease in 3D acquisition, especially for large patients.
In addition to its mobility, Discovery IGS 730 comes equipped with more than 20 advanced applications. With Discovery IGS 730, doctors will be able to rediscover space and movement while accessing all the advanced imaging capabilities of GE premium interventional systems.
Affordability without Compromised Quality or Performance
GE Healthcare's Optima* Edition family provide excellent image quality and dose efficiency[2] at a lower price point and total cost of ownership to help serve a growing patient population. The Optima Edition portfolio offers excellent reliability and uptime, as well as service capabilities to further optimize the total cost of ownership. GE Healthcare offers the Innova 3100 (Optima Edition), a combination interventional radiology and cath lab and the Innova 2100 (Optima Edition), a dedicated interventional cardiology (IC) system designed to meet the growing need for basic IC procedures.Recording Systems
GE Healthcare's is also introducing enhancements to its Mac-Lab* hemodynamic recording system and CardioLab* EP recording system. New features and functionality on the MacLab are designed to address the need for a convenient way to document clinical data during cardiac cath and IR procedures, streamline workflow to potentially help see more patients daily, and decrease potential for errors or loss of data. [3] The CardioLab is designed to reduce workflow bottlenecks and help physicians better visualize the electrical signals that are critical to EP procedures. Also, powerful tools are available to support clinical research and staff training.
Now in its 37th year, Arab Health is expected to host over 70,000 healthcare professionals, and will feature over 3,000 companies from around the world. Visit GE Healthcare's pavilion, which will be located in Sheikh Saeed Hall - Stand No S3B10.
