MEF issues second dedicated Content & Commerce Survey for the Middle East in partnership with KPMG

MEF calls on all industry players active in the Middle East to take part

Qatar: MEF this week launched its second dedicated survey of the mobile content and commerce market focusing on the Middle East. Issued by the MEF Middle East Office, co-founded by Qtel Group, the survey will gather inputs from key players across the mobile content and commerce ecosystem, and deliver a set of industry metrics essential to understanding the changing dynamics within the burgeoning Middle East market.

MEF's first survey results, published in August 2011, delivered an overwhelmingly positive message with 88.3% of respondents stating that they had confidence in the future of the mobile content & commerce industry in the Middle East. In addition, mobile content and commerce related revenues were expected to grow by 32.9% on average. Business confidence extended to all mobile content and commerce categories featured in the MEF Middle East survey, with Mobile Social Networking and Applications achieving the highest growth expectations.

As the representative of the global community for content and commerce, MEF is inviting all companies active in the Middle East across the mobile content and commerce ecosystem to again contribute their valued insights on this key market. The survey is being conducted in association with KPMG, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of the results, and is distributed in partnership with GITEX, widely recognised as one of the largest and most important ICT events in the Middle East and around the globe.

Rimma Perelmuter, MEF Executive Director said "As the first mobile focused trade body with a dedicated presence in the Middle East, MEF is committed to supporting growth and innovation in this strategic territory. Last week, MEF organised a dynamic showing at GITEX, one of the region's top annual gatherings and ran a successful MEF Connects networking event with InMobi. The findings from the second MEF survey will contribute to a vital time-series and provide a comprehensive overview of the Middle East's mobile content & commerce market and where it is headed. We invite all active companies investing in the region to take part."

The MEF Middle East survey is open until the 10th of November, with the full survey results to be made available early 2012. All companies active in the Middle East mobile content & commerce industry may participate by clicking here. Please contact George Daaboul for further information.
