FlairJet to share its Phenom experience
Phenom 300 now moved to CannesFlairJet, the 18-month old business aviation operator is at EBACE, Geneva this week to highlight its expertise in the operation of Embraer Phenom light jets. FlairJet last week added Phenom 100 G-ROOB to its AOC, to be based at Oxford Airport. "The aircraft is a replacement for Phenom 100 G-DRBN which has been sold to SkyShare in Poland," said David Fletcher FlairJet CEO who added: "We will be supporting SkyShare with the introduction of the Phenom into their shared ownership scheme with the supply of mentor and instructor pilots."
FlairJet is expanding its third party training department at its London Oxford Airport base, staffed by three Phenom 100 and two 300 examiners. "We have identified an opportunity as more and more Phenom aircraft come into Europe, to help operators with third-party ground training on the types, importantly offering them a flexible menu format that owners and pilots can pick and choose from," said David Fletcher, CEO.
FlairJet training covers such skills as Line Proficiency Checks (LPC) Operator Proficiency Checks (OPC) mentoring, line training and checking, systems review for recurrent training, first aid/aeromedical, aircrew security training, dangerous goods awareness, Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM) training, Safety and Emergency Procedures training (SEP) and Crew Resource Management (CRM) training. FlairJet can also offer help with technical authorship that includes preparations for SMS - an industry-wide legal requirement from 2012.
FlairJet, which is exhibiting on the static park at EBACE with Phenom 100 G-RAAL, is positioning one of its two Phenom 300s to Cannes in the south of France ready for the peak summer season and it is anticipating a strong take up of bookings from regular Cote D'Azur based clients and from the super-yacht fraternity who maximise the Phenom's unique qualities to quickly move crews and owners around the Mediterranean and Balearic Islands.
FlairJet, the UK's only commercial operator of Phenom aircraft, is operating a fleet of two 300s and three 100s and is in advanced negotiations to add a couple more to the fleet this year. As previously announced, FlairJet has expanded its AOC coverage to larger geographical area to embrace the Middle East, Africa, the Caucuses and Russia.
Editors Notes:
FlairJet, backed by three London based QCs, achieved its UK AOC and commenced revenue charter flights in December 2009 with two initial Embraer Phenom 100s. A third aircraft was added to the fleet in May 2010. FlairJet has enjoyed a successful introduction to the market flying business and leisure passengers on short haul flights to Europe and UK cities. FlairJet added Europe's first Phenom 300's at the end of 2010. FlairJet's growth in business is reflected in the increase of personnel, which now number 20, up from eight in December 2009, together with a move to larger premises at Oxford Airport.
Working closely with leading aircraft brokers, FlairJet has become an established name in the light jet charter market.
