MUSCAT -- The Wave, Muscat has won the 'Gold Award' for the best website in the real estate category for the third year running at Oman Web Awards. The Wave, Muscat a co-presenter at the awards ceremony, saw CEO Nick Smith deliver a presentation highlighting the importance of technology, and the role of the internet in getting corporate house's messages across.
Commenting on the success of The Wave, Muscat at the Oman Web Awards, Nick Smith, said: "These awards highlight the internet's role in achieving an organisation's business objectives and recognise the hard work that has gone into creating outstanding websites.
"We are fortunate to be working with a great team which has indeed developed an easy to surf yet informative website."
The Oman Web Awards aim to promote the sprit of innovation and creativity and in turn raise the bar for web designing and website services. The competition recognises the people and organisations responsible for developing some of the most effective websites in Oman. Each Standard of Excellence award recognises the level of quality that all corporate websites should strive to attain.
The Wave, Muscat is a fully master planned community overlooking the Gulf of Oman occupying an area of 2,500,000 square metres along 6km of natural beach.
The Wave, Muscat has also received five prestigious international and regional design awards in 2007 from CNBC Arabian Properties and Homes Overseas. From CNBC Arabian Properties, it received four awards: Best Development Design, Best Marina Design, Best Apartment Design and Best Golf Course Design.
Homes Overseas awarded The Wave, Muscat the Best Luxury Development award. The Wave, Muscat is being developed through a joint venture comprising Oman's Waterfront Investments (representing the Government of the Sultanate of Oman), National Investment funds Company (representing the Omani Pension Funds), and the UAE-based Majid Al Futtaim Group.
