Jizan: 03 March 2013- Taajeer Company, an Islamic leasing specialist is underlining the importance of traffic safety by launching students' Traffic Safety Education Program in cooperation with the traffic Department and General Director of directorate of education in Jizan with the participation of 4000 students from various schools in the area.

Themed "safe driving", the campaign is the fourth successive year that Taajeer has held since 2010. Omar Mohammed Hindi, CEO of Taajeer, Traffic department director Brigadier Aidh Dakheel Allah and General Director of Directorate of Education , Hamdan Al Harthy attended the ceremony.

The initiative aims to boost awareness among motorists on public roads and to enhance social responsibility sentiments, especially among youth who commits nearly 40 per cent of road accidents annually.

Omar Mohammed Hindi, CEO of Taajeer said in his speech delivered during the official ceremony held in Jizan recently, "Tajeer has designed the Traffic Safety Program to help students learn about traffic safety regulations and strengthen their sense of self protection. Tajeer's Traffic Safety Education Project is an indispensable part for Tajeer Corporate Social Contribution Activities in Saudi Arabia."

He noted that The campaign comes in its fourth year after it proved its success in Jeddah , Riyadh and Dammam as it is designed to boost awareness among youth in relation to safe driving, avoiding accidents, the negative side of speed and the total impact of road accidents on the society, as well as the catastrophic results represented by loss of lives and property annually.

Taajeer introduced its first students' Traffic Safety Program in 2010, and received strong support and good comments from the government at different levels and people from all over the Kingdom.

Hindi pointed out that road accidents in the Kingdom are mostly caused due to violation of traffic regulations.

"For this reason, such a campaign is of great importance so that we can join hands to minimize road accidents and increase awareness of the importance of following traffic rules," he said.

Taajeer plans to cooperate with education and traffic departments of different levels and spare no effort in promoting students' traffic safety education in the following years. At the same time, it hopes that adults will also pay more attention to traffic safety and contribute to a safe society.
