Damascus - Minister of Petroleum and Mineral resources Sufian al-Alaw Monday discussed with a delegation from the Canadian Dublin Oil company, the company's role in developing Syrian Oudeh and Tishrine oil fields and increasing their production.
The delegation is headed by Gary Guidry, CEO and president of the parent company Tanganyika Oil Company LTD, and Donald Miller, CEO of Dublin oil.
Al-Alaw affirmed the importance of cooperation between Dublin Oil and Syrian Petroleum Company in managing tankers and forming a future vision of production and development, pointing out to the necessity of reducing the usage of diesel fuel at Oudeh field and relying on natural gas, in addition to the importance of developing most of technical and engineering staff via the Syrian Petroleum Company.
For his part, Guidry stated that Dublin Oil will continue to work in Syria, stressing that recent media reports of the company's intention to sell its share in Oudeh and Tishreen are incorrect.
He added that Dublin Oil is working to establish the company operating at Oudeh field after the end of technical evaluation period.
