Asset management and Equipment rental firm continues to invest heavily in regional fleet

DUBAI 18 September 2012: Speedy International is expanding its services to the Middle East's oil and gas industry, following the award of a US$ 50 million services contract with ADNOC's support services arm ESNAAD.

As a group, Speedy has gained many years of experience globally using its technical expertise in major oil and gas infrastructure projects combined with its asset management services.

Operating in the Middle East since 2010, the company is now investing heavily in its fleet and services to the petrochemicals industry.

"As a leading provider of specialist equipment, expertise and support services to the oil and gas sector, we offer the youngest fleet in the region, having invested AED 115 million since launching our Middle East operations in 2010," said Andy Carter, Managing Director of Speedy International.

Speedy offers state-of the art, specialized equipment for pipeline process works, industrial shutdowns and turnarounds, temporary power solutions, and offshore and onshore process works, all from its new 30,000 sq ft regional headquarters in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi.

"We offer flexible services ranging from equipment rental to on site temporary depot set up specific to project requirements. Our extensive product range includes generators, nitrogen production units, boosters, compressors, lighting towers, lifting and hand tools, while our services include test, repair, inspect and maintenance (TRIM) to ensure our clients enjoy smooth operations in what is a high-risk environment," said Mr. Carter.

Speedy supports oil and gas related pipeline works in the Balearics, Caspian Sea, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the GCC executed from its MENA base in the UAE.

"In just a few years we have become the registered contractor for some of the region's leading petrochemical companies, including ADNOC. In July, we were appointed as subcontract partner to ESNAAD to provide logistics, asset management and equipment rental services to support Zakum Development Company's (ZADCO) flagship UZ 750 Project at Abu Dhabi's Upper Zakum field, the fourth largest oilfield in the world," Carter added.

The contract, which is for an initial period of 5 years with a 2 year extension option, covers the full range of logistics, asset management and equipment rental services required to support drilling and processing activities on four artificial islands which are being constructed by ZADCO.

Speedy International will be showcasing its services to the oil and gas sector at this year's ADIPEC exhibition, taking place from 11 - 14 November, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Speedy International will be exhibiting at the show in Hall 7, Stand 7123.
