Channel Launches at 20:00 UAE (19:00 Mecca, 18:00 Cairo, 16:00 GMT) on Sunday, May 6

Abu Dhabi, UAE: May 5 2012 - Sky News Arabia, the 24-hour Arabic language breaking news channel, goes live across the Middle East and North Africa tomorrow at 20:00 UAE time, (19:00 Mecca, 18:00 Cairo, 16:00 GMT).

The channel will broadcast free-to-air on Transponder 15 on Arabsat Badr 4, Transponder 14 on Nilesat 201. It can also be viewed on du IPTV channel 16, Etisalat e-Life channel 234, channel 122 in high definition and channel 123 in standard definition on the OSN pay-TV platform as well as in high definition on the Abu Dhabi TV network.

The integrated news channel will broadcast across multiple platforms including TV, mobile, tablet and online from its state of the art newsroom in Abu Dhabi, offering regional viewers the opportunity to consume fast-paced and independent news wherever and whenever they want.

The website, www.skynewsarabia .com,  which launched in BETA form in February, will be fully completed and will include key features such as video, blogs, interactive news maps, analysis and commentary, photo galleries as well as user generated content.
